Even if you are not currently a certified diver, it's not necessarily too soon to start planning a career as a PADI Professional. You may know you love the underwater world from snorkeling, the Discover Scuba Diving experience or other experiences and you want to start thinking about a career that involves diving. If this describes you, obviously, your first step is getting the PADI Open Water Diver certification.

What it takes:
Learn the fundamentals of scuba diving, including equipment and techniques by using the PADI Open Water Diver Manual and Video, or CD-ROM, under your PADI Instructor's guidance.
Confined Water Dives Practice skills under the supervision of your PADI Instructor.
Open Water Dives Four actual scuba dives with your PADI Instructor in a typical dive environment.
